They are a subsidiary of AEP (American Electric Power, NYSE: AEP) and are one of the nation\u2019s largest electricity generation and transmission companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Headquartered in Gahanna, Ohio, they serve approximately 5.4 million retail customers in 11 states.
