class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shop for Electricity Rates in Penn Power<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Penn Power utility is part of <strong>Pennsylvania customer choice.<\/strong> That means electricity is deregulated in your area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can get your electricity supply from Penn Power. Or you can shop for an electric generation supplier (EGS) licensed by the PA Public Utility Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter who who you buy power from, Penn Power remains your utility company. They deliver the power to your home, respond in an emergency and send your bill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The utility offers a standard rate for electricity called the Price to Compare. This price changes quarterly and it&#8217;s based on the current market rate on electricity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or you can shop for a supply rate from an EGS. These suppliers often have rates below the utility. And they can offer you a secure fixed rate plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suppliers can often give you a rate that&#8217;s lower than the current price to compare. You can also lock in a rate for a predetermined length of time depending on the contract term you select with an EGS.
