These plans look like they offer a good rate. And they do. <strong>If you use a specific amount of power and don&#8217;t go above or below. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flagship energy plans with bill credits are called &#8220;refund plans&#8221; in their naming approach. Use over 1000 kWh a month? <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/electricityplans.com\/texas\/plans\/?plan_title=Galleon1000%2012\" class=\"ep-zip-popup-link\">Flagship Power Galleon1000<\/a><\/strong> gives you a $100 refund (aka bill credit) on your bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason we don&#8217;t like rate gimmicks? People buy these plans without understanding them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bill credit plans are designed to give a really low price at 1000 kWh, the default average rate displayed on most web site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you go outside of that target level? You could end up paying more than you would on a fixed rate plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>Flagship Power Galleon1000 is only a good deal if you always use between 1000 and 1999 kWh each month.
