What is a Fixed Rate Electricity Plan?
A fixed-rate electricity plan gives you the same price per kilowatt hour of energy for the term of your agreement. This is what most consumers in Ohio choose. And it’s what we refer to as Basic Fixed Rate Energy.
The energy portion of your rate is fixed for a set time period. You’ll see the rate you select, along with your supplier name and contract expiration date, on your utility bill.
The benefit of this vs. a utility rate? Price certainty and possible savings. We say possible savings because you never know what the utility rate is going to be. But you can lock in a low price and know what you’ll pay for the term of your agreement.
