Canton Ohio Electricity Aggregation
City leaders made a bold move for Canton residents in 2021. That’s the year they signed an aggregation deal with Energy Harbor locking in a fixed electricity rate for all residents.
Aggregation is the practice of combining multiple homes and businesses into a single group to negotiate rates. The Canton electricity aggregation offers a rate of 4.75¢ per kWh through March 2025.

This rate is substantially below the utility rate and lower than supplier rates. However, it’s unlikely that the rate is sustainable beyond March 2025, since electricity prices have changed dramatically.
