Energy Texas focuses on affordable electricity plans that are easy to understand. You won’t need a business degree to understand what they offer. There are no bill credit or tiered rate plans from this provider. Instead, there are just 100% green fixed rate electricity plans.

- Come and Take It 12 is their most popular plan, and the term length of most electricity contracts. This gives you a chance to try out their service at a great low rate.
- Bigger Than Texas 24 gives you price security for 2 years.
- For the ultimate flexibility, their low cost month to month electricity plan is a great option. Energy Texas Monthly is a variable rate electricity plan. Your rate will change every month, but you always have the option to switch to a fixed rate plan or switch electricity providers. This is a great option for month to month electricity that’s not prepaid.

All of their electricity plans have a base charge of $4.95 per month. This fee, plus the cost of energy and delivery is included in their average price per kWh. But…most of their plans also offer you a $5 bill credit every month if you go with ebill and autopay. So it all evens out and results in a discount on electricity!

Sun-Jacinto Solar Buyback Offer
Energy Texas also has a solar buyback electricity plan if you have solar panels on your home. They’ll buy back your electricity at the ERCOT real time wholesale energy price per kilowatt hour, capped at a maximum payout of your energy rate. Just pick any of their electricity plans and opt select “Sun-Jacinto Solar Buyback” during enrollment or via your online account. It’s a great opportunity to declare your energy independence!
Rangler Rewards Program
One of the best parts of Energy Texas is their Rangler Rewards program. (After their great rates, of course).
You’ll earn rewards credits that you can apply as a discount on your electricity bill. Or you can opt for gift cards instead. You’ll get rewards by making payments on time, enrolling in autopay, switching to paperless billing or conserving energy during peak electricity usage times.

The Giddy Up Guarantee is unique to this provider. Ever wonder if you got the best possible rate when you signed up for electricity? Now you can know for sure.
Once you sign up for a plan with Energy Texas, they automatically receive your usage patterns, including time of day, day of week and monthly usage. They’ll use this info to determine if you can get a lower rate.
If so, you’ll get an email within 48 hours of starting service with Energy Texas. Then you’ll have 48 hours to accept the discounted rate.
Once you accept you’re in! You’ll see your discount as a line item on your electricity bill. How cool is that?
